In 2018, allocations of Multipurpose Reloading Complex LLC (MRC, a company of UCL Holding) operating at the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad Region) for implementation of its development programme totaled almost RUB 370 million, which is 2.3 times more as compared with the allocations of the previous year.

Considerable growth of allocations is explained by increased financing of pre-project works aimed at expansion of the terminal’s dry bulk handling capacity from 5.5 million tonnes to 8 million tonnes. Besides, the company increased expenses for the purchase of new equipment and completed the transactions on equipment supplied earlier.

In the reporting period, MRC upgraded more than 30% of its fleet of equipment. The company acquired a full-revolving electrical crane VITYAZ of up to 63 tonnes in capacity, four LIEBHERR LH 40M material handlers of 14 tonnes in capacity, three LIEBHERR L550-series material handlers with capacity of over 11 tonnes and four LIEBHERR GM 20C clamshell buckets with capacity of 2.5 cbm. The new equipment will let facilitate the process of transshipment and ensure safety of works at the births.

Besides, a substantial part of resources was spent on modernization of video surveillance system, civilian warning service and emergency alerting system as well as on monitoring of water disposal system and development of solutions for reconstruction of sewage network and water treatment facilities.
