A 3,188 ton batch of crude glycerin has been delivered from Spain to Russia.
On May 18, 2016 m/v V.F. Tanker-19 has discharged in the port of Kstovo TLC (Nizhny Novgorod region) a type of cargo which is new for V.F. Tanker’s ships.
The project RST27 chemical tanker (IMO-II class) has brought crude glycerin – an extremely eco-friendly by-product resulting from the manufacture of biodiesel – from the Spanish port El Ferrol.
The new cargo was carried through the Bay of Biscay, the English Channel, the North Sea, the Kiel Canal, the Baltic Sea and the Volga-Baltic Waterway.
The total route length amounted to 1,916 nautical miles (3,549 km) and the delivery term made 18 days.
In the loading port (El Ferrol, Spain) the motor vessel successfully passed a national port inspection, and in the discharge point (Kstovo, Russia) experts from
the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping performed a scheduled procedure of interim ship class renewal and survey.
The company operates 6 chemical tankers (projects RST27 and 19614) of the total deadweight of 38,980 ton. Cargoes are delivered all year round by direct consignments of up to 7,000 ton from Russian and foreign river- and seaports.
